This is my first trip to Bali and this trip we went is for our company
Annual Manager's Conference 2011.

During Annual Manager's Conference, all the managers will have to attend for the conference and the venue will be select base on the company profit.This year we did a good job and we go bali for the manager's conference or else we going to only enjoy bali ais at kedai kopi.

All the managers from whole Malaysia meet up at the airport. We printed t-shirt for this trip as this is the best time to do some awareness to the public for branding.

There are 40 person of us and we waited at the airport for 2 hours and finally its time for boarding.
As for company trip, it is best to travel into 2 or 3 separate group and different flight. why le?? Tai ka lei si (touch wood) if the plane crash, the whole company may collapse as all the key man and management staff is onboard.

When we landed at Denpasar International Airport, Indonesia, we was greet by our CEO & GOM as they arrive one day earlier for the preparation. We travel in group so we get a bus to send us around.

First stop is Uluwatu, Officially known as Pura Luhur Uluwatu (yes, that's the real name: "Luhur" means "something of divine origin" while "Uluwatu" can be broken into "ulu" which means "land's end" and "watu" means "rock" in the old language). Nonetheless, merely mentioning Uluwatu will get you here in no time. This is the most spectacular temple on the island of Bali. The inner sanctum of the pura is perched majestically on the edge of a steep cliff that towers above the legendary surf breaks of southern Bali.

All of us can't stop taking the photo and this is the time that you will see all the managers so relax and enjoy the trip as all the funny funny post come out.

At about 6pm, we proceed for Kecak Dance. What makes the Kecak special is that the accompanying music is provided by the human voice, the gamelan suara, a choir of a hundred men or more sitting in concentric circles, swaying, standing up, lying prone as the story develops.
Amongst the swaying masses the voices of the storytellers can be heard telling the unfolding tale.

After the Kecak Dance, we had our dinner at the beach.Seafood dinner and the food is delicious because we are too hungry or else the food so so only..

After dinner, we check in to our hotel. Kuta Station Hotel & Spa is conveniently located in the heart of Kuta, Bali's busiest tourist destination.

Conference begin at 10:30pm and we can see all the tired and sleepy faces...

Once we reach our hotel, all of us proceed to the conference room as we are late and the conference suppose to start at 8.30pm The time we reach the conference room is about 10.30pm. We got no choice but to speed up our presentation and my presentations is the longest cause I need to present 15 branches account and I was talking like a bullet train. (when my turn to present, I heard some voices says "melvyn, you speed up the presentations ya". Anyhow, I still present it until finish and the only thing I do is speed up my talking...And I tell you the feeling is light running in full speed...hahaha.

Our conference ends at 2am and all of us is so tired and exhausted. Few of us walk to opposite mart to get some bintang beer and we enjoy at the swimming pool.

Day 2 woke up at 7am and the face is like panda bear and I need sunglasses to cover the panda eye...yeeee hiak hiak.

I like the Indonesia brick. It is thinner than the usual we have in malaysia.

Barong & Keris Dance : the most famous and colorful dance in Bali which signifies an eternal fight between good & evil spirits, performed dozens of professional dancers.

The dancer eyes is so big and I didn't see their eyes blink le.

After the show, we was taken to visit the gems factory and i saw this building opposite the road and I just walk over to take some photo. This Angel to Angel. The exterior of the building is pink coral and there are larger than life size statues carved from polished marble around the perimeter of the building and along the roofline

While we travel in the bus, I just snap here and there and end up I got alot of photos...

(Gunung berapi) Volcano... First time see this in real but too sad we cannot walk down there.

Kintamani : said to be the best view in Bali over a magnificent massive crater with smoky Mount Batur in the middle & simmering Lake Batur nearby.

I like this volcano stone. The features is just awesome. They use it to build building and no painting needed as the natural looks is so special.

Pasar Ubud. there are many souvenir shops selling local crafts and gifts you can take home with you. There is something you will find here that you can't also find in other areas of Bali but its a nice market.

While others still doing their shopping, we take our rest and have some drinks to cool down our body.

Dinner at Golden Palace Restaurant. This restaurant serve chinese food.

Normal chinese food and nothing to shout about.

After dinner we did not follow the bus back to hotel as we decided to walk back to hotel so that we can see more things and can just stop anywhere we want.

Gosha Restaurant has been established since 1985 when the tourism is not as busy as now. (tips: When got chance to go for outing or travel with my ceo, remember to stick beside him not to polish his shoe but to try the delicious food cause he is the man that got alot of places for nice food). This trip I tried the best spare rib... oh man, I still miss it and I can still remember the taste

This Restaurant was constructed in 1985 when the area around us was nothing but pig walking around, cows hanging around, and the road was mud, just like classic balinese lifestyle-the people live together in harmony with their pets (ducks, dog, cats, pigs at the back yard and cows), that because population 99% are farmers. And also there was not any pedestrian pathway, only palm trees sorounding us.

SPARE RIBS Served with fried potatos or steam rice and vegetables Rp. 75.000. YOU MUST TRY THIS.... I tell you... very ho ciak leh.
If you bring me along then I can BBQ myself for you to try. hahaha....actually I stand there fow 2minutes only and I can feel that my egg almost cooked.

The Restaurant located only 200 meter from Legian beach. At that time traffic at Melasti street (where the restaurant located) was two ways traffic. Since there was not any road connected to the other part of Legian-the beach totally kilo meters of white sand beach without any street divide between hotel. So you can ride and drive your vehicle along the wide sand beach from Kuta beach to Seminyak beach, since there was not any people laying on the beach for sunbathing.

Gosha Restaurant is all constructed by bamboo, consisted of small and big pole of bamboo. The lamp shade and the wall also made by bamboo giving the warm atmosphere which is typical classic balinese style architecture.

On our way back, we stop at the Hard Rock shop and do some shopping.

When we reach our hotel, there goes the bottoms up. Tall glass but when cheers, must bottoms up. Thanks to Boon Leong that keep on bottoms up. hahahaha...We only drink once a year together during our Manager's conference. So we must bottoms up in high speed. hahaha...

I still remember after all of us feel tipsy and some abit drunk then we put all the empty bottle infront of my ceo room.

Holy Spring Temple (tampaksiring): in the middle of this beautiful temple, thereis lies a holy spring welling up the ground which believed to possess a magical power to keep you young.

Auntie auntie lai lai and wash your face and hand with this holy water. You will look like every year 28 years old.

After the Manager's conference, you can see all the manager's prays for their respective showroom to get more sales and achieve their target set cause Financial Year 2011 the target increase.

I'm a christian and I seldom pray but I respect everyone's culture, their believe and the most important part, I believe myself and I need to meditate. WHY?? Because I got alot of sin and I just commit another sin as GOD whisper to me, MELVYN!!! why you wear your sunglasses while meditate??... ooOOps...

Tanah Lot is a rock formation off the Indonesian island of Bali. It is home of a pilgrimage temple, the Pura Tanah Lot (literally "Tanah Lot temple")

Restoran Rambutan Tree

Last week Sunday me and my friends decide to go Tanjung Sepat to have our dinner and it is a last minute decision because it is hard to gather all of us to be available on the same day. This trip is also to go and meet up our friend Terry who work as a cook at the Restoran Rambutan Tree. The journey from Subang Jaya to the destination took 1hour 15 min.

This place is cozy with all the trees but I'm not sure is it rambutan tree as I forgot to ask. They open at 5pm till late night.

Before we go, we already call Terry and he get all the ingredients and food list for us. Once we arrive, he ask us whether the dish he choose ok for us or not. We say you suggest one sure nice then he started to cook and I also kay poh around the kichen and took some photo.

The kitchen is clean and all the things is in proper arrangement. The red shirt guy is the bos.

First dish is Hot Plate Fried Oyster. The taste is superb, chewy and little crispy.

Steam white pomfret. The fish is so fresh because opposite is the fisherman jetty and their fish is always fresh

Only four of us Teik, Hung, Yuan and me. As you can see this 3 yau kui keep on eating only.

I like this yam and mantis prawn. I ask Terry to teach me how to cook when he come visit us at KL.

Nestum prawn. For this dish, the prawn must be fresh and cannot be too oily when you cook and the nestum must be a little crunchy instead of sticky to the prawn. I like prawn very much and I can finish the whole plate : )

Suckling chicken. This dish according to Terry, it takes alot of time to prepare. The skin is so crispy and the taste is good.

This one is stingray cook with special sauce. We did not order this.

Last dish we order is this fried baby squid. The squid is fresh and abit ham ham tei.

Hey, next time you guys come with me then I ask Terry to sit and I can cook for you.

Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa

Last week, we was invited for a tour and lunch to Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa. This trip is arrange by Christie & Prasert who completed the project under Fella Interior. Thanks for the tours and you guys did a good job for the project.

The weather was great and it's super hot with blue sky.

First stop at the sales office and the sales personnel explain to us the selling price and the new project coming up nearby the resort.

The design of this resort is a shape of Palm Tree if you view from the top. The distance from the front office to the chalet which is the most far away one is 1.3km... No worry, there is buggy to send you to the room.

While waiting for other colleagues, we walk around and took some photo.

Treasure seafood wrapped in beancurd skin with superior stock.

Chef's special fried rice served in tomato. I wish they served it in 2 portion...hahahaha

Chilled double-boiled pear with king's tea accompany with baked egg tart.

The tours and the lunch was awesome. Thanks for the wonderful trip and I enjoy the food.

Bangkok & Pattaya trip 2011

This trip is plan one year ago cause we get cheap air ticket during AirAsia promotion. I go with Teris, Chiu Lin, Jian Hao, Rudy and Teik.

Bangkok, here I come.

Landed at the Subarnabhumi Airport. Firstly we take bus to Pattaya and we book the ticket online http://www.belltravelservice.com/ .
It cost only 200 baht and the journey takes approx 2hours.

When in Thailand, it is good to buy the local prepaid number so that we can use to contact each others cheaper.

After check-in hotel, we go for our lunch. Food anything la. but drinks got to be beers. hahaha...

Our lunch and the dish must order is of course Tom Yam lo..

Thailand famous of??? no need to mention of course is beer, massage & night life.

At Pattaya we went to the Underwater World.
We saw few types of sting ray. The most impressive is the Manta Ray. It can grow very big.

This is a yummy lobster. The lobster dish is famous at seafood restaurant and the price also not cheap.

Nail Art from 100 baht to 150 baht. If you go Thailand, the currency is very easy to convert and just throw away the last digit and that is the price in RM and the different is only little + and -.

I manage to capture all the Cocktail Car at Pattaya. Their design is so special and the most attractive is their lighting.

This can be found along the roadside.

Only 98 baht. it cost you RM9.80. cheap? of course but don't expect the quality will be good.

Whenever I go travel, I always like to try all the different food.

This trip me & rudy try the fried grasshopper & bee.

How it taste? Wah... sipek geli lo but don't look at the insect when you eat. Just put it in your mouth and the taste is like fried prawn cracker. But if consume too many also abit geli geh. When I try it, teris & chiu lin ask me how it taste and I say, wait wait the grasshopper leg stuck in my teeth and they was... awwwww.. so geli. hahahaha...

Walking street is a place you must go because it is so happening at night and this is the place for the night life.

Another intresting place is the 7 Eleven at Thailand. You can get alot of different food inside here and is totally different from the 7 Eleven at Malaysia.

The next day we take the bus and proceed to Bangkok. We stay at Baiyoke Boutique Hotel.

The room is nice, clean and modern concept. The hotel location isgood and by walking distance, it takes about 5-10minutes to the Platinium Mall.

I dunno what this call. Pancake with sausage? One pc cost only 10 baht and it takes times to do it. Every customer willing to wait for it. This one ho ciak..

I dunno why i like sausage so much especially the fat and long one. Always caught my attention and I will try it. This one inside is wrap with rice, meat and some vege.

This is my favourite food. Pork Leg Rice. The taste is so delicious because they put the pork, vege, egg and others in a big bowl and cook it then when customer order, they will just dig it out and chop into small pieces and serve with rice.

Live small prawn. Anyone? nobody want to try it. Only me & rudy try and the best part is when you put the prawn inside your mouth, it still alive and keep on jumping. It serve with mango slice and lime and mix it with the live prawn.

Teris choosing the BBQ food. I saw a funny corn and the colour is white and black. I didnt try it cause at the time I was so full.

You like Mango? Then you must visit this Mango Tango. All the menu is made from fesh mango.

Mango pudding, mango ice cream, mango dessert, fresh mango and lots more.

I like the Mango Smooties.

I think Chiu Lin & Jian Hao wanted to become the ambassador of the Mango Tango. You see the colour of their shirt. hahaha....

Went to nearby mall and saw some cute toys but the price is very expensive.

When we shop around, I saw this Heineken Tower promotion at only 480 baht. Oh no... I must go in and try it. I can't believe the price. hahaha... end up one tower free one jug. so cheap.
We did order some dish to go along with the beer.

We visit the Hard Rock shop at Bangkok.
Buy buy buy....

Siam Paragon, Platinium Mall, MBK, Centre Point and many more we shop till leg also cramp.

Last day we saw a huge group of red shirt protest walking along the road and some drive car, bus, bike, tuk tuk and even lorry. We also feel so scary when we saw this but luckily they just walk along the road and no violence.

Some tips to those who going there by this map: After you pass the first fly over, when you see the second fly over, you should keep to the left side and drive straight then you will see there is a inner road then drive into the inner road and just follow the map. You will be able to find it.

Michael Tan is the Chef Managing Director. He won alot of certificate & medal by participating in alot of competition.

This is Oyster Mee Sua. I not really like Mee Sua but this one I like it very much.

Fried Glass Noodle (Char Tang Hoon). The taste and the ingredients is just perfectly nice.

Fried Rice Noodle ( Char Mee Hun Kun). This dish must never miss. The wok hei is enough. The noodle is abit thick and succulent. Must try this.

Claypot Braised Pork. The sauce is thick and tasty.

This man tou go with the Braised Pork.

Fried Oyster. The way they fried is something like penang style. The Fried Oyster is sticky enough.

How is this look like? Always we eat is suckling pig but this is suckling chicken and it left only two wing for you to know that this is chicken.

Off Penang Road, on Lebuh Keng Kwee. There are 2 stalls. This stall is the one next to Joo Hooi Restaurant.

Open daily from : 11am – 5pm

Cendol contains of cendol jelly, santan, brown sugar and kidney beans serve with crush ice. The most important ingredient is the brown sugar then the cendol jelly. Fresh ingredients is a must. The ingredients they use are fresh.

Others than Cendol, they also sells Ais Kacang (ABC) and Chrysanthemum (kek wa) and Green Grass (Che Chau)drinks. I like the Che Chau drinks also but some people don't like the smell.

If you go on weekend or public holiday, you will see the long queue waiting for the cendol.

Eat it there is the best but becareful your buttock cause there were cars that turn into this lane.

This is an annual television network screening event, the Media Prima stations (TV3, ntv7, 8TV and TV9) recently unveiled their line-up of local and international offerings and it promises to be an interesting year ahead. Every year Media Prima will held Television Networks Screening 2011 and they will invite all the clients, celebriti, media & agencies for their next year review for the latest movie, talk show, drama, cartoon and many more. Currently their rating is better than other channel even better than astro.

The event, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, was to showcase the networks’ upcoming shows for next year and we was invited as clients and potential advertising partners.to this function held at KLCC on 22nd Oct 2010.

After the screening, we was invite to the party room which they provide free buffet, red wine and beers for free flow.

They even setup a booth for us to wear the mobster costume and we can take a free photo. So we just join in the fun and I didn't know that they have the prizes for the best dress for

1st prize: RM750

2nd prize: RM500

3rd prize: RM250

Eventually after 30minutes, I go and collect my photo and the lady ask me to wait and she take my photo to show someone which i think is a judge and she told me to wait and don't go back early.

When the emcee announce the winner, I can't believe that myself won the 2nd prize for the best dress and I walk away with CASH RM500. Thanks to media prima and the judges.

This is one of the Famous Kueh Chap at Air Itam, Penang near the wet market. It is in Wah Meng Cafe.
This stall operate more than 20 years and it might be older than me if i not mistaken.

Kueh Chap is something like the characteristics of both pan mee and hor fun but it is a little bit chewy with different texture. You can see the "Kueh" go round shape after it cooks.

Kueh Chap is serve with duck meat, coagulated blood, innards, and egg. Koay Chap soup is darkish in color.

Koay Chap is make from flour. When the Kueh is cook using the boiling water, they will use some of the water to mix with the gravy and it is ready to serve by adding the duck meat, coagulated blood, innards, and egg.

This is the dish you must try when you at Penang.

If you are ramen lover, you must visit this Ajisen which is very famous in Singapore and they have 10 restaurants throughout the island. They have the Ajisen Membership Card which gibing discounts up to 50% on ramen on selected days.

In Malaysia, they are located at 1Utama branch, Gurney Plaza, Batu Pahat and Sunway Pyramid. This one is at Sunway Pyramid. The shop is abit small and compact. Ajisen is originate from Japan and Singapore is their distribution hub for their inventories. Ajisen is ranked no #1 ramen shop in Japan and Singapore.

You must try this Volcano Ramen which is hot & spicy. The ramen is cooked to perfection without losing the bouncy feeling and the pork ribs are very soft.There are fried garlics and chilis for you to add on if you like it to be more spicy. Me & Teris love this alot. I like spicy food and for me, I will add in more chilis.

Deluxe Chicken Teriyaki Set comes with Rice, Vegetables and Gyoza Dumplings. This one is normal.

Hot Plate Chicken Teriyaki something looks special and it serve with the hot plate. The taste is good.

This restaurant Yaw Fatt is located on the 2nd floor in The Summit USJ shopping complex and is quiet popular among the staff working around there.It will be pack during lunch & dinner time.

I order this Beef Noodles RM6.50. The soup taste is good and especially with the chilli. I like this.

Teris order this Dry Koay Teow with mushroom and chicken. The portion is big and worth it. The tasted is good and something taste like home cooked food.

Can you see the right bottom picture Braised Spare Ribs? This dish I try before and the taste is yummy and the meat is soft but this time when I wan to order, the waiter told me SOLD OUT.

They have many other dishes as well. No menu will be serve because the menu is the photo you see with the name and pricing hanging against the wall.

This restaurant is located at Ijok which is along the way from Sungai Buloh to Kuala Selangor. Drive along the trunk road connecting Sungai Buloh and Kuala Selangor and you will see a big signboard which states New Beggar’s Chicken Restaurant. Follow the signboard and you will drive through an oil palm plantation and you will be able to see the restaurant on your left side.

Suddenly, I think of this beggar chicken and wanted to try long time ago but due to work commitment and some friends can't get the right timing and it has been postponed until we find the right timing to go together.There are total 9 of us.
We ask our friend to booked first because according to them, you need to booked in advance.

We order Beggar chicken, Beggar duck & Beggar pig leg. all this is cooked in a sealed aluminium foil and the taste is perfectly kept. We smell the fragrance when opening the aluminium foil. Stuffed with different mushrooms, the tasted is familiar to bak kut teh herbal soup with its own herbs.The herbs like tong kwai, tong sum, kai chi, red dates and yoke chok inside the chicken.

We also order the fried paku pakis (medin) , Beggar rice (glutinous rice), Fried Mantis Prawn.

As you can see all the faces is so serious and enjoying the food.

There are total 9 of us. Ian, Me, Teris, Carol, Alexander, Jaae, Shy Shy, Wilson & Chloe.

Beggar rice is actually glutinous rice with mushroom, dried oyster, dried shrimp, pork, salted egg yolks (ham tan wong). We order 2 of this. I love this very very much. The taste is so delicious. I think I should name this as Ye Zhi Mei big boobs Loh Mai Fan. This is AWESOME....

We order curry claypot fish & claypot pork belly pepper soup

We bring along a pomelo and after the dinner, we continue with the pomelo and the sor hai got nothing to do and they post for the funny picture.

Chloe & Shy Shy eat from start until the end non stop...hahaha..just joking actually all of us can't stop eating until the end. Total bill came to RM355 share by 9 person.

Char Sago

Char Sago - Fried Sago.
This special food i only saw at Lebuh Cecil Market (Penang 7th Road, 七条路).
I went back to my hometown at Penang and my mum cook for me this dish. My mum love to try to cook new dish and she never gave up. If first time she cooked the food fail, she will try and try again until it success.
First of all, you need to put the sago into water for few hours to make the sago become soft.
Ingredients you need:
1. Sago
2. Dried Shrimp (har mai)
3. Bean Sprout (tauge)
4. Chili (sambal)

If you wish to add in big prawn, squid or others you can do so but this is the traditional way to cook it.

After the sago become soft, make it round and squeeze it flat then put in a boil water to cook first until you see the sago become transparent, then put it in a water to let it cool down.

After the sago cool down, then it's time for you to use scissor to cut it into small pieces.

Place the sago you have cut into small piece in a bowl and add in the dark soy sauce and mix it before you start cooking.

Put some oil, put in the dried shrimp, add in chili (sambal), sago then lastly the bean sprout (tauge), add in some salt to taste and start stir it until it cooked. If you prefer darker then add in more dark soy sauce.

The taste is like Char Koay Kak but Sago is more chewy when you bite and the taste is so delicious.

Kai Wor Pau (cantonese literally translated as chicken nest bun). It’s quiet unique and only got one in KL, Sri Petaling
Teris ask her colleagues to buy this and she gave one for me. This is something very special and this is the firs time i see this pau.
They steamed the buns pre cooked, then stuff cooked glutinous rice with bbq meat and wine chicken.

You can keep in the fridge if you want to keep for 1 or 2 days. this Kai Wor Pau is like combination of big pau & loh mai kai. One stone kill two dish.

Fifteen Tower Tauge Chicken

Ipoh is famous for the Tauge Chicken or Steamed Chicken with Bean Sprouts served with Kuey Teow. The famous Restoran for the tourist is Lou Wong at town area but I can GUARANTEE that after you try this Fifteen Tower Tauge Chicken, You will not go back to Lou Wong. Please try then you will know.

I got to know this place from my uncle who is local at ipoh. He bring me to this place few times when I go Ipoh visit him and he told me that local people won't eat at Lou Wong. Food not nice and expensive and only tourist will go there.

Fifteen Tower Tauge Ayam, located at Pusat Makanan Zui Xiang Cun at cross between Jalan Tun Abdul Razak and Jalan Tun Perak, somewhere near to Buntong (where the Indian community dominates in Ipoh), and Medan Kidd (the former main bus station of Ipoh).

The name of the stall I thinks is probably refers to the nearby 15-storeys flat in Buntong, can see from the food court. The stall only opens for dinner, and I advised you to go early to avoid a long wait.Opens around 7.45pm.

Ordering
When you reach there, please be seated and if you see only one chicken is hanging, don't be so kan cheong, he only hang one or two chicken and is freshly cooked.The indian guy (can speak fluent cantonese) will come over and take your order. He will come to you, no worry even you have waited 3-5 minutes. they do not have the menu. Just let him know how many person and order for the chicken, bean sprouts, and you must order this braised chicken's feet. When me & Ian go this time, the braised chicken's feet sold out.

Chicken
The chicken meat is tender & succulent enough.
It is freshly cooked and that's why you can only see 1 or 2 chicken is hanging at the stall.

Koay Teow Soup
The Koay Teow is delicious. It is so smooth and the portion is small. I can easily eat 2-3 bowls. The soup taste is so nice. I like the soup very much.

Braised Chicken's Feet
Highly recommend. Must try, DO NOT MISS THIS.
If you go too late, this will be the first dish to sold out.

Me & Ian order chicken, bean sprouts for 2 person & 3bowls of Koay Teow soup total bill came to only RM10. Cheap and HO CIAK...

Restoran New Secret adjacent the Village Mall near Tesco (the one nearer to the SP Northern Toll),

I try this before at seremban but i think is different restoran and I like it so much especially the heaven chicken (Thin Kai)...Heaven Chicken is not the right name. If i call it frog and is like yeeee.... so i translate direct from cantonese name.
Me & Ian was at Sungai Petani for our task and so coincidence that Chloe back to hometown and she bring us to this Restoran New Secret.

This claypot heaven chicken (Tin Kai) cooked with dried chillies is so yummy to eat with porridge and it is so hot & spicy. If you do not want to be so spicy, you have to inform the waiter when they take order.

This is Claypot Eel fish. This one we order not so spicy.

This is their menu and the price. We did order a plate of vege and total bill came to RM50++ for 3person include drinks. Kinda abit expensive but worth trying. They open few branches and the last one I saw at Jalan Dato Kramat, Penang just next to the Pachee Bakery & Stadium.

Rakuzen Japanese Restaurant @ Empire Gallery Subang Jaya

Me & Teris loves japanese food alot. We went to this Rakuzen Japanese Restaurant @ Empire Gallery Subang Jaya.

First dish we order Kaori-Hako Kani to Tobikko Salada. This bowl of salad is so yummy and we like it so much. The crab meat, fish roe, vege, tomato slice and the thousand island topping is a perfect combination.

I like to eat sashimi and i order this Hotategai (scallop). The scallop is fresh.

Soft Shell Crab is a dish you must not miss. The taste is crunchy from outside and inner part is soft. If you like tofu, you can try this Agedashi Tofu. The tofu is sweet and smooth inside and it got four different topping to make the tofu looks special.

Teris order this Nabeyaki Udon (Hot Udon Noodles in Claypot). It comes with the tempura.

I order Gindara Zen (Grilled Silver Cod Set). I like to eat fish and it must serve hot & fresh. After all the food arrive, I told teris that this will be a very full dinner. So many food but only two of us....

This dinner is to celebrate teris birthday so it just two of us enjoying the dinner. We are very satisfied with the food, service and the ambient. We will be back again mostly with more friends so that we can order more dishes to try...hehehe.

Total bill came to RM152.95. The price is reasonable and we got so many dishes on the table.

Grik

We heading to Alor Setar using the Grik road. This is the first time we using this road. It takes about 6hours to reach Alor Setar. We actually drive 5 hours and the other one hour is for us to stop by for toilet, breakfast and take some photo.

It's a long journey but the view is beautiful. We start driving at 7am in the morning.

Still can see the mist and please do not drive at night. It will be very dark plus mist then will disturb your view.

This is one of the rest area. Toilet you need to pay RM0.30 because they do not have toll charges and that's why the toilet usage is not free.

Saw the sign of animals. There are some rules to follow if you happen to see the elephant crossing the road.

There are many road sign to pre inform you of the road ahead.

We reach Tasik Temenggor and we drive down to the jetty there to have our breakfast and take some photo. The lake is so big and hope one day I can come here again with all my fishing buddies to fish.

This is the bridge that we passby before we reach the jetty.

Here got chalet, fishing boat and house boat for rent.

Ian is very intresting to fishing here..

Ian, come on, let's continue our journey...you don't dream to take helicopter to here. Drive yourself is cheaper.

KL to K.Terengganu

Driving from KL to K.terengganu takes about 5hours. Me & Ian was having some task at K.Terengganu and we stay a night there then the next day, we heading to Alor Setar using Grik.

This is the time you will feel that the GPS is so useful when you are not so sure about the roads.

We stop at road side to have some durians kampung. Unlike north south expressway where you got the R&R area.

I ask the durian seller , mana satu best? he told me, pilihlah, semua pun best, ini durian kampung. I was errr... you selling durian like this ar? then never mind la, since you also dunno which one is nice then i just choose one and to our surprise, the durian taste is good. 1kg RM3 only.We had 2nos then we continue our journey.

Saw this irresponsible driver & owner of this truck. How can he load the wood so high up to sky?. It is so dangerous. Can you imagine if the things drop??

Saw thier local bus at K.Terengganu. Looks like the kampung house and something which is not so nice to say here la.

After complete our task at K.Terengganu, our colleague Tie bring us to durian frenzy again at her brother's stall.

So many durians kampung. Thanks to Tie for bringing us there.

Me & Ian have work to do at K.Terengganu. After finish work, our K.Terengganu colleague Ms.Tan bring us to had our dinner at Uncle Chua Kopitiam.

Ms.Tan order Nasi Goreng Kampung and after we chit chatting, then only I know that her son is one of the share holder for this shop.

I order Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam & Ian order Char Koay Teow. The taste is good.

I choose this pineapple asam boi but when the drink is serve, I was errrr...wat drinks I order? I always forget what I order if the restaurant have alot of menu and choices. So you know they got how many choice to choose.

Ms.Tan order this steam keropok lekor for me to try. Is just normal but the sambal makes the whole thing taste good. I like the sambal alot.

This one you must try. It is something special and the taste is yummy.Prata with chicken floss. Outside layer is prata (roti chanai), second layer is fried egg and the last layer is chicken floss. According to Ms.Tan, her son last time work as chef in Singapore and few of his friends share to open this Uncle Chua Kopitiam.

Pangkor Trip

RM29 per person day trip to Pulau Pangkor

After we attend our friend's wedding dinner at Ayer Tawar, we proceed to Pulau Pangkor the next day morning. Most of us still blur blur due to last nite too many beer & whisky.
We went to Pangkor for day trip only. We rent one car and one motorbike cost us RM70, Seafood lunch, ferry ticket and it only cost us each person RM29.. but for Kelven, he need to pay extra RM3 because the motorbike run out of fuel.

See this 3 guys, they still thinking of last nite that they keep on yam seng till most of us feel drunk and tipsy.

We want more beers....hahaha

There are 7 of us and when we reach there, we rent a car RM50 and a motorbike RM20 till late afternoon. When Kelven take the motorbike, he open up the fuel tank and check then he found out that the fuel almost finish. Then he call the guy who rent us the motorbike and tell him there is no more fuel inside the tank. As a good customer service, the guy change another motorbike for them then they feel so happy and just drove to the restoran we plan but half way, the motobike engine stop and when they open up the fuel tank, the fuel is totally dry and we keep on laughing when we saw them stop at road side.
Lesson learn : "Whatever you do, please do double checking"

We have our lunch at Restoran Pangkor Fook Kee.

We ordered total 5 dishes. The food taste is good.

Cravings Kitchen & Bistro

Me and my colleagues thinking to have our lunch at Movida cause they have their set lunch promotion for weekdays. When we reach there, to my surprise, there is no customer in Movida then I know that is a bad sign already. I walk inside and ask them about the set lunch promotion and they told me that today they don't have. I also sien chor to ask why and I just walk out and we proceed to this Cravings Kitchen & Bistro to have our lunch.

Cravings is a newly opened Kitchen and Bistro at Sunway Giza.

Here is all the hungry faces....hahaha :)

Their menu outlook is very nice but the contents is not what we as a consumer wanted to see. All menu in words and no photo. How we know the food looks like?

The set lunch come with soup, main course, drink & dessert.

This is Triple Decker come with rice in 3 layers. There got tomatoes, fried egg, cabbage and vegetables as well. We have to mix all of these together with the triple layer rice, and just put it in your mouth...yum yum yum....

Chicken Bolognaise Spaghetti.This dish is not good. The taste is tasteless and the mince chicken and the sauce is so little. Teris told me that she still prefer the one I cook.

Lastly is the dessert come with two fried ball. Sorry, I dunno what it calls. We did order extra salad.

Went to Empire Shopping Gallery at Subang Jaya to buy some snacks from Pasta Zanmai for Teris's brother. After pick pick pick and buy then we proceed to have our lunch at Pasta Zanmai.

I order Cold Green Tea and Hot Green Tea for teris. When the cold green tea is serve, I was shock to see the portion so tall and big. Really worth it especially for me...hahaha

The taste of Mini Chicken Katsu Curry Rice is good but the curry taste when I eat can smell the curry powder. The fried chicken is nice to go with the curry.

We order a set of Mini Chicken Katsu Curry Rice and it comes with Mini Yasai no Wafu Soup Pasta to only RM22.

Mini Yasai no Wafu Soup Pasta to taste is clear soup with vegetable. The taste is good and abit cheng cheng tam tam...

This restaurant located opposite Kompleks Selangor near to Petaling Street.

This restoran is just a normal setting but the food is good.

There are four of us. Me, Ian, KC, Wilson

We order this Claypot Lou Shu Fan.

Claypot Lou Shu Fan with mince pork and an egg on top.

The differerent is the Lou Shu Fan after cook, it doesn't sticky sticky and the taste is delicious.

Walking on the streets of Jalan Petaling, you probably will not notice Fung Wong Biscuits. Yet the history of Fung Wong Biscuits will not go unnoticed.
Walking down memory lane, there used to be only 7 lots of 3-storey shops. 100years later, there were those that were renovated and destroyed but Fung WongBiscuits still remain its original look till today.

I've been passing this shop few times but the signage is in chinese and I don't know how to read it that this shop is selling the Chinese wedding biscuits until I visit this place again with my colleagues to collect the biscuit for his wedding and to give to their relatives.

Fung Wong Biscuits is well known among the people in Kuala Lumpur. It started of as a stall in a coffee shop but has expanded into a humble shop.
Although Fung Wong biscuits has been passed on to the third generation within 100 years, there is one thing that has never changed. It is the "tradition" of chinese biscuits.

They have many varieties of biscuits for different occasion.

You can walkin and buy any of the biscuits. If is more then you better order first before you go.

Chinese wedding biscuits (喜饼) has become a customary gift from the bride to inform the relatives and friends of her impending marriage. In Chinese's tradition, the wedding biscuit is as good as other lucky gifts, and is essential for proposing a marriage.

My colleague KC ordered total 60 boxs for his wedding.When we reach there, everything is well pack and we just take and go.

Fung Wong Biscuits has improve all the traditional biscuits by following the new generation's taste and preference, but the element of Chinese wedding biscuit such as tradition and culture are inherit countinuously.

I did not update my blog for the past 2 weeks. Work is busy and alot of things need to do. This few days, i'm really down and upset. There are few things happen which is out of my control. I'm so emotional and this is usually happen for a human being and now it happen to me.
But I always remember someone teach me this phrase "LIFE IS TOUGH BUT I'M TOUGHER".

Do you believe in GOD? YES, there are all of us i can say. To me, when GOD grant you somethings, GOD will take something else to exchange it. Is it true? I dunno and i don't want to believe this but I can't because this things happen to me many times in my life when I'm been given something, there is always something will be taken away from me. There are many of us who work so hard to strive in many things but some times we are not so lucky to be bless.

Human always tend to make this mistake ---> human tend to remember the bad things or mistake done by their family, love ones, colleagues, friend or anyone but they fail to think about the good things they have done. I;m one of this person as well last time but nowadays i change alot by looking things more far and details.We must always remember the good things that they have done before we going to make any decision or action towards the person. Talk is easy but when ask you to do, you will have 1000 of excuses. We are not GOD, we are not perfect. Just try our best to do the best we can.

Life is short, enjoy your life and treasure your love ones. I got so many plan to do for this year 2010 but till now, my plan is like tarnish in the ash...nothing have been achieved.

I'm very down and emotional but I will not give up. I need time to overcome it.
I will do my best to achieved what I have plan this year. Sometime things just happen too fast and I have to accept it even I do not wish that.

Sri Senawang Hotel

Due to work task, our company having a road show at senawang and this time I stay at this Sri Senawang Hotel. This hotel just operate for 9months and the rate is cheap and the most important part is the room is clean.

Another good thing is the dobi just beside the hotel. Convenience for us to send our cloth to wash. They charge RM2.50 per kg.

I take the two single bed room. The room is nice and clean.

Every room come with individual water heater.

Just a simple room with LCD tv, table , chair and FREE WIFI.

Every room with window.Unlike others hotel, some room without window and is like staying in the store and you dunno whether is morning or night.

I was at Alor Setar for some work and they bought this thai appetizer for me. They call it Mien Kam in thai. I ate this before and when the first time I try, I thought that this is Daun Sirih but I'm wrong. It is call Daun Kaduk.

The packing is like a set lunch.

So many things in this pack.

Last time they ask me to try but I was like....errrr...don wan la because the looks is funny and I think the taste also not so nice la.But I'm reminding you...don't judge the books by its cover.

There are total 9 ingredients in this pack including the Daun Kaduk. Like buffet style..hmmm

This is Daun Kaduk and it act like your plate.

Put all the ingredients in the Daun Kaduk.If you don't like the ginger (halia) you no need to put in. For me, I will put everything in then only will know the taste.

Wrap it nicely and you are going to enjoy it.

I enjoy eating this. The taste is like abit sour, sweet, spicy and crunchy.

This can keep in fridge but not too long because it will not fresh.

Due to my work, sometimes I travel alot. This trip to Alor Setar for some work task and my colleague bring me to this Ikan Bakar Kuala Sungai. I love the food at Alor Setar.

You must not miss all this if you can eat spicy.

Grilled catfish (Ikan Keli Bakar), this one you must choose, listen to me please, this one you must try. really thumbs up.

My colleague Andy brought me to this place. Nice food but friend ar...breakfast eat so much, habislah gemuk aku ni.

Some relatives come to KL and I was planning to bring them to eat nice food. I was searching for seafood in the internet and I found this Restoran Tak Fok. I heard the crab they selling is RM20 per kg. How could i resist hearing the cheap price?.So I decided to bring them go because the location is at Puchong and very near to my house.Opposite GIANT HYPERMARKET Bandar Puteri Puchong the 2nd row of shoplot.
Manage to get the restoran contact number and I call them to get the location and finally with the help of GPS, we found it.The most famous dish is crab because they selling RM20 per kg.I love eating crab so much...

It is sunday and when we reach there, we need to queue up to get the table.

1st dish I order is salted egg crab. 1kg RM22. The price is reasonable and consider cheap.

2nd dish cheesy crab. 1kg RM20

Chef recommend taufu with mince pork on top.

I order herbal chicken and this dish cost RM28. I think is abit expensive.

Today got special promotion for shark fin soup only RM3 per bowl. I order 3 bowls.

Ham ham tei yau tim tim tei. (salty taste and yet abit sweet)

I'm enjoying the crab. You give me 10nos of crab I also can finish it...hahaha...

This part of crab is the best because you will get the bigger portion of the meat. so yummy... while writing this, my saliva also drop.

Overall the food is good. Price for the crab also cheap. The shop is abit small because alot of people waiting especially on sunday. If can, go on weekdays will be better. We will be back for crabbing party again..

I seldom go to KL area for shopping or dinner because it is far for me as I stay at USJ. This trip I went to pavilion to enjoy the free movie ticket Premiere Screening for Ip Man 2.Thanks to nuffnang & GSC for sponsoring the ticket. After collecting the free ticket, me and teris went to this Ichiban Boshi to have our dinner before the movie start.
They make the soba on the spot so the soba taste is fresh and yummy.

Sushi, forget the name already. Serve with cheese, ham and others.

Another type of sushi. Here they got alot of sushi to choose from and I found that the sushi they make looks very creative comparing to sushi king.

I order this Tori Curry Cheese Wazen set RM23.90. Chicken cutlet with Japanese curry on rice topped with cheese, assorted tempura, rice, miso soup & fruit.The set is big and I really full after finish the food.

This set is enough to share for two person. I like the curry especially with cheese on top.

Teris order this Tempura Soba RM20.90. Buckwheat noodles with assorted tempura. The noodles taste good but the soup not so nice and is like normal soup with not much taste. The tempura is delicious and the way they fried looks different. Both of us like it very much.

After dinner at klang, we decided to drive into i-city to take some photo. The whole place light up with led. The lighting and design is beautiful. Alot of people there and the shoplot still not yet operate.

i-City, a retail and commercial hub with advanced information-communication infrastructure in Section 8 Shah Alam, has installed millions of LED lights to brighten up in the night.

It is a old shop but the food is nice.Thanks to Ching who bring me here before and I manage to save the coordinates. This trip I use GPS to find this shop.

Must try this. Fried Bai Guo (炒白果）. Bai Guo is a kind of eastern style pasta made from rice flour.It's like koay teow and bai guo is thicker and chewy.

Fried mee with oyster. The oyster is so fresh. Eat with sambal balacan will be the best.

This is the dish you must order. Fried Meehoon with pork. （肉羹炒米粉）

The pork 肉羹 is so tender and the taste is so yummy. Cin cin eh ho ciak. This is my favourite...

I rang up rudy and Jen Jia to go together and Jen Jia bring along his friend. Total 5 of us and we enjoy the food.

Fried Oyster.The oyster is very fresh.

Kam Heong Fried Mantis Prawn.

Total bill came to RM59 for 5 persons, 5 dish and 5 drinks. Cheap or not? Go try it yourself.

This is the main entrance you will see before you reach the parking area. Just drive all the way straight.

Shuttle bus service is available for anyone who lazy to walk and it also can bring you to SKYTREX which is further inside.

There are different charges if you want to stay a nite at the chalet, fishing, camping and others.

This is the place to rent bicycle. RM3 for the 1st hour and subsequent hour RM1.

We rent bicycle to cycle around the area because lazy to walk and the area is very big. But halfway,after we cycle, our leg almost cramp and we wanted to give up and take the shuttle service back to the entrance but anyhow, we didn't give up and we continue to cycle back to the entrance. Really tired...Whole body sweat. Underwear also wet...

Swimming pool, free of charge and there is a changing room for your convenience.No need swimming trunk or swimming suit. Just wear anything and you can jump in.

Bring more water because you will need alot of water like her.

Jen Jia is so lucky because the bicycle chain drop and he still manage to fix it back or else, he will be in trouble to push the bicycle back to the main entrance.

This is the best part of the Taman Pertanian Malaysia. We saw a sign of Rabbit Farm and we cycle to the place but can't find any rabbit. After that saw a sign danau perikanan. Thought got fish to see but go until there, the pond also dry already. What is this men? This place really need maintenance and there are few things runs down.

Rabbit farm no rabbit, fish pond no fish. Hey... please do something on it. Maintenance is very important.

Here got paint ball as well. Saw alot of people getting ready for the action. For those who love to play paint ball can come here. You will get the jungle feel.

We cycle further until we reach this Four Season Temperate House.

Yesterday I finally decided to sign up for the maxis broadband at Sunway Pyramid. The reason I choose maxis is they got wider coverage area and they have the promotion now for free modem. I choose the broadband package 3.0GB at RM68 per month with free modem. Their normal price is RM108. I did not choose digi because my house area do not have the coverage and their package is RM88 per month.

I pay RM150 for the upfront and will divide to 5 months and it comes to RM30 per month. I sign up for RM68 per month so for the first 5 months i only need to pay RM38. They told me within 24hours they will activate the broadband. I sign up yesterday 8pm and this morning I wake up at 8.30am and the maxis broadband is activated.

They told me within 7days if I not happy with the connection, I can return back to them and they will give me back the full refund. The connection is good and better than P1 wimax but I not sure after 7days the trial period, the connection will slow down or not.Another good part of maxis broadband is no contract base and if you cancel, you do not need to pay extra. Is like you use, you pay.

The modem is made from china and without the maxis logo but I don't care as long the connection is good and fast. For those who wish to sign up for maxis broadband, I suggest you go to the maxis centre at Sunway Pyramid. Their service is good and friendly and they have the stock for the modem.

Now I can connect to internet anytime anywhere....

Recently I just cancel the P1 wimax due to the modem die liao and the warranty is only one year and I not sure is it I sign up for 1 year then after 1 year the modem life also die?.They ask me to get a new modem RM199 and I was, huh?? why I should pay so much? then the girl suggest me to cancel the account then sign up again because that would be cheaper. Anyway, I didn't sign up cause the P1 wimax connection is slow and most of the time I cannot connect to internet and so frustrated.

This few day without internet access at home and I feel like something is missing. Handphone is very important nowadays to keep us stay connect to our friend, family, colleagues and sometime we feel more secure if we have handphone just in case any emergency happen then we can call.But now i realise that broadband is important also to me. I need to check my mail, facebook, blogging, forum and others.

Last time I did go and apply for the streamyx but was rejected because they told me that my house address last time the house tenant sign up for streamyx and did not pay the bill and the amount due is around RM800++ and I ask the staff, what it got to do with me? siao ar? you blacklist the house? you should blacklist the customer name if they did not pay not the house. They say this is our company policy la this la that la. Then i also pek chek and go for P1 wimax but manatau, after sign up the speed is like turtle walking.

I have to get the broadband fast but I dunno which one to choose.

P1 wiggy, according to my cousin (stay near my house) say that the P1 wiggy lagi worst than the P1 wimax with plug in phone cable modem because he use before and he change the P1 Wiggy to the one with plug in phone cable modem.

When I sign up for the P1 wimax, they give me 14days of trial period and if I not satisfied with the connection, I can return back to them and they will full refund. I can tell you the connection is so good and fast during the trial period but after 14days the connection starting to slow, slow, slow and slow. Any of you experience this before?.

Digi Broadband, my colleague use before and the connection and speed consider ok. I thinking to choose this but when I check the coverage area, my house did not have the coverage but I'm using digi line and I think should be ok but I need to check with digi again.

Celcom Broadband, They say this is the best coverage compare to digi and maxis but I don't know.

Maxis Broadband, my friend use this and he say ok but some say slow. As I know, the maxis coverage area is good.

Streamyx, the BEST among all I can say because my hometown is using streamyx and most of my friend also say the connection is good. I wanted to sign up but because of their policy, the streamyx already blacklisted the house I stay not the people who didn't pay. That's why I cannot sign up. FUNNY is it??. I'm going to check with them again.

Most of the broadband like P1 Wiggy, Maxis, Digi, Celcom, I would say it depends on your location and sometime the connection is good and sometime it will be slow.Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Today and tomorrow, I must go and check out more info for the broadband package and I need to confirm it otherwise, its like driving a car without aircond.

Sitiawan, Perak is famous for Bird Nest (swifts birds). Other than this, the red wine chicken is famous too. I try before few places red wine chicken but the taste is not there. At Setiawan, you will have the chance to try out their famous red wine chicken. I was assign for few days task at setiawan but I not really familiar where got nice food to eat.

After been alone and suffer for 2 days eating the mamak food, finally my colleague came back to his hometown in Ipoh. He drive to Setiawan to meet me and he bring me to this restaurant. Thanks Aaron..
This restaurant is located along the CIMB bank shoplot. Not hard to find.

This is their chef recommend special pork ribs. The taste is sweet & abit sour and you must eat while the food is hot. After the food cool, it is like abit sticky. RM15 for 2 person portion.

Fried Oyster. When the food is serve, I was like ARRRR....look not nice but after I tried, the taste is good as from outside a little bit crunchy but inside is soft and the oyster is inside.RM12 for 2 person portion

Red Wine Chicken. The famous dish in any Fook Chau Restaurant. The Red Wine, they do and mix their own and got many many rules to follow. Alot of pantang larang during the process and if they didn't follow, the whole Red Wine cannot use and have to throw away. RM15 for 2 person portion.

Red Wine Chicken of course got chicken meat inside. I eat alot especially the soup is so delicious. Don't worry, you won't get drunk.

Four dish with a pot of tea cost us RM55. The price is not really expensive.

When you got chance to go Setiawan, go and try the Famous Red Wine Chicken. You won't regret.

Last week, I went back with teris to her hometown at Jerteh by driving and it took us 6 hours to reach using Gua Musang/Kuala Krai road.
Journey start at 7am from gombak and reach Jerteh 1pm. First stop when we reach Jerteh is this Keropok Sira Madu shop. It's a small kampung house and they fried, weigh & packing from the kampung house. I take this chance to snap some photo and interview the owner. They have been in the business for 16 years. They suppy to Kelantan, Terengganu, Kuantan and other state as well. Saw a lorry when i reach there and the lorry came from penang.

They use cili padi as well to mix in their ingredients.

They got their secret recipe to make the Keropok Sira Madu as you can see the red colour with chili and honey but there is more ingredient inside.

After fried, they will put the keropok one side and the staff will start to put in some sesame and then put in the plastic bag.

All the staff working here are mostly makcik. There are around 20 over people working.

After they put the keropok into the plastic, they will then transfer to another side to weight.

After weight, then they will start to seal the plastic bag using the machine.

After seal, then they will fill into a big plastic bag and it is now ready to go to all the kedai runcit and shops.

One day they can produce easily 1000 packets of the Keropok Sira Madu.

Everytime when I go to kuantan, I will stay at this hotel. For twin room RM118 but we have coorporate rate which we only need to pay RM93. The room is clean and the concept is modern. Free wifi as well.

The mattress here is twin size and it is bigger than the single size. It is comfortable to stay in this hotel. Try it out if you happen to go to Kuantan.

This trip i went with my colleague for some work task at kuantan and in the evening, we went to this Pak Su Restaurant to try out the food. If I not mistaken, I went to this restaurant before 2-3 years back.This restaurant is quiet famous in Kuantan.
You can see the signboard beside the main road Jalan Beserah if you heading to Kuantan port before the Swiss Garden Hotel.

First dish you must not forget to order this Famous Pak Su Stuffed Crab 老叔釀蚧. It cost RM6 per piece.Inside got the crab meat and other mixture.

Fried Prawn Vietnamese Style 浦汁虾 . The taste is like sweet + spicy

Sweet Potato Leaves (Garlic)番薯苗. This is normal. Nothing to shout at.
We order one plate of Pak Su Fried Noodle (Gravy) House Specialty 招牌面 & Fried Rice With Dry Scallop 干贝炒饭

They do have Baked Canada Oyster With Cheese (Min 6pcs) 芝士焗生蚝 , choices of fish as the waiter recommend me sou mei. It is a very expensive fish where you only can find in East Malaysia.They selling about RM65 for the portion of two person. We wanted to try but only two of us and we might not able to finish the food. Maybe next time with more people then we can order more dish.

Every year after Chinese New Year, our company will have the Annual Biggest Event at our HQ. We will invite all the top sales person from all around malaysia to participate in this event. During this 10days, every sales is important to us.After 10days of pressure & hard work, sleep late, not enough energy and tired but the return is worth because we did very well and we hit the target set by management and we recorded the highest sale during the 10days event.

We went to have dinner at Nando's Chicken @ Sunway Pyramid. There are 20 paxs of us and we were place in two long table. Everyone choose their meals and drinks then the yau kui (hungry ghost) begins to show...

Enjoying drinks and then only i found out that the ice lemon tea can be refill but I not sure all the time or just during promotion period.I seldom go to Nando's Chicken so I got no idea for this. After this dinner, I might go more often because I want to try other food in the menu which looks delicious.

If i not mistaken, this plate of delicious food called "peri kick starter". When the food arrived, I was ....wah...so nice one this. Got different things inside. My next visit, I'm gonna order this.

I went to Genting Highlands for the company Annual Manager's Conference 2010. We have this event yearly to review the showroom performance and the target set for the year 2010. We need to present the power point slide for each department and subsidaries of the group. When we prepare our power point slide, usually we will put in some funny things just to make the whole presentation won't look so bored.

This time my superior did this presentation and when he present, then only we saw this in the slide and I ask him who did this and he say from the media agency which is very close to us and she did this is just a gift to us. When this slide pop up, all the manager's keep on laughing and I was like..... wah.... look so amazing.

This trip I went there to check out Cope Adventure for our company team building. After the survey, we went up to the hill not far from the Cope Adventure to check what restaurant they have. There are few restaurant in a row facing the KL view and we went to this Haven Restaurant.

This shop is the same row with petronas petrol station which is nearby. My friend brought me to this shop after we finish meeting with supplier. I'm not familiar with the area and its quiet far for me if I have to travel from Subang Jaya.

If you see this kind of shop what is in your mind? Chinese kopi tiam am I right? I feel that too but when we went inside, I saw malay, indian and chinese customer and I was like ????? how come? inside the shop got nasi campur, roti canai and got masakan panas as well.

Then I think this shop should be halal thats why can see so many races having food here. I think I should consider open a coffee shop or restaurant by the name of 1 Restaurant or 1 kopitiam which serve halal and different type of food so that customer got more choice to choose. wat do you think??

We order two vege pau and 2 wu kok.

Can see inside got so many vege and some more got egg compare to normal vege pau, the skin is thick and the vege is very little.

Wu Kok and I tell you honestly, the taste is normal and i feel that the skin is too thick and i don't like it. The only plus point for this is when they serve it, the wu kok still hot.
To me "BO HO CIAK" but I saw alot of people buy also.

Price list and I personally feel the price is reasonable and to me is cheap because I use to buy at Subang area and it cost RM1.20 for one vege pau and the size is smaller than this one.

When I was there, I notice alot of customer come and buy then take away. I saw two customer take away alot of pau in a plastic and I guess it is more than 30 nos..
Remember when you go to this shop, you must try the vege pau. Others pau not really nice. I try the curry chicken and chicken pau also so so nia.

Whenever I go to Sungai Petani for my work task, I will drop by this Restoran Taulat.
I like the mee goreng with extra cuttlefish and the rojak also not bad.

This is their old location and this time I saw some buntings says that they going to move to another location which is just nearby.

The staff also very friendly and you can see their smiling face.

Kuih Kapit - Love Letter Biscuit

The MaKinG oF kUiH KaPit ( Love Letter Biscuit )

Love letter or more commonly known as "Kuih Kapit" in Malaysia.has become one of the festival biscuit during Chinese New Year's celebration.

I'm going to show you the process of making Kuih Kapit.Firstly the most important part is all the ingredients. Good ingredients will make the kuih kapit more delicious and good fragrance.

The process of making love letter is, firstly mix the wheat flour, sugar and eggs in the big bowl then add in the coconut milk and stir until well.

Egg is very important and if you (kiam siap) stingy and only put few egg to save cost then you better don't do because the taste will be different.

Mixing of flour.

Add in FRESH coconut milk.

Kuih Kapit need sugar as well.

Stir and mix the flour.

It's time to BREAK the eggs.

Add in the eggs into the bowl.

Can you see got how many eggs? Good and accurate ingredient is very important. Remember not to be stingy in the ingredient.

Use strainer to mix the whole thing again to ensure all ingredients are mix well.

This is how it looks like after all the ingredient mix well.

Stainless steel top to use for folding the kuih kapit.

Kuih Kapit mould which is being use for more than 15 years but still in good condition if you kept and clean it well.

New stove using gas rather than charcoal. But the taste is still the same when good and accurate ingredients being use.

This stove is custom made which the mould fit on top and the fire runs and heat equally. Made of stainless steel. New idea and I personally hope one day we can invent the Kuih Kapit machine maker which can produce more and time saving.

Kuih Kapit mould.

Pour a ladleful of batter onto the mould, close it and bake until it turns into goldish color and in between you need to turn the mould to get the balance of the colour when it cook.

When the kuih kapit turns to goldish colour then remove it from the mould.

Immediately fold into quarter (triangle shape) before it gets cool.

Folding part is very important also to make sure when you stack the kuih kapit inside the tin or container, it will stack nicely and firmly.This part is not easy because you have to make sure you won't press one side when you fold. Can you see the kuih kapit fold nicely?

After fold, need to put aside for awhile before you stack inside the tin or container.

This is the right way to stack the kuih kapit in this type of container.

After the container full, it needs to be tighten the cover and use tape to make sure there is no room for air to go in.This type of packing, if you leave it in the ants area and i guarantee there will be no room for the ants to go in.

Every container or tin of kuih kapit, there will be 100pcs exactly not more or less..
This is traditional requirement but nowadays if you buy outside, it won't be 100 pcs anymore. You can ask your mum or grandma and they will know.

For the month of November and December 2009, I travel to Alor Setar so frequent and I got the chance to try out this Duck Meat Porridge @ Alor Setar Chinese Market.My colleague hometown is at Jitra, Kedah he brought me to try this and it taste good. Thanks to Wilson.

冬至 Winter Solstice Day

Have been long time didn't see this stall and guess what, because I stay at Subang Jaya and seldom see this kind of stall. Recently, I went back to my hometown at Penang for some Northern Region work task and I went to Batu Lanchang Market and saw this few stall selling the glutinous in many colours and if you lazy to cook, then you can buy the one ready and you can enjoy it NOW...

Tāngyuán is a Chinese food made from glutinous rice flour. Glutinous rice flour is mixed with a small amount of water to form balls and is then cooked and served in boiling water. Tangyuan can be either small or large, and filled or unfilled. It is traditionally eaten during Yuanxiao.

You see the uncle so happy while buying and I believe he is going to (tuen yun) reunion dinner with his family on the festive eve.

Choose any colour you want or you can buy all the colour in small portion then you can have a colourful glutinous ball.

I miss the old days when we were young and my mum always buy the raw glutinous and we make it ourself. I still remember when my mum give me some portion to make the glutinous ball round but i use the whole thing to make a BIG glutinous ball and i tell my mum, this is for you then i kena scould. My mum say you make so big for wat? Then i faster make again but this time i make it tiny little round and that is me. I did it purposely and i kena scould again this time by my dad and he say why you so (kuai lan in hokkien) and he also laugh.

Hope one day I can make myself free and go back hometown to enjoy the festival.
